Mike Evans, a wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was selected seventh overall in the 2014 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M University.[1][2] He has spent his entire 11-year NFL career (2014-2024) with the Buccaneers, based at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.[1][3]

Evans is a six-time Pro Bowl selection, earning honors in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.[1][2] He contributed to the Buccaneers' Super Bowl LV victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on February 7, 2021, at Raymond James Stadium, recording five receptions for 104 yards in the game.[1][3]

Evans holds Buccaneers franchise records for career receptions (873), receiving yards (12,610), and receiving touchdowns (102).[2][4] He achieved at least 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first 10 seasons from 2014 to 2023, tying the NFL record for most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons to start a career.[2][4]

In the 2024 season, Evans recorded 71 receptions for 930 yards and seven touchdowns over 16 games, ending his 1,000-yard streak after sustaining a hamstring injury that sidelined him for one game.[2][4]

Evans signed a two-year contract extension worth up to $41 million on March 18, 2024, securing him through the 2025 season.[1][5] He will become an unrestricted free agent following the 2025 NFL campaign.[5]

The Buccaneers have bolstered their receiving corps in recent years, drafting Jalen McMillan in the third round (92nd overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft and signing Chris Godwin to a three-year extension in March 2024.[1][3] Quarterback Baker Mayfield agreed to a three-year, $100 million contract extension with the team on December 16, 2024.[3]
