Annah Tagovailoa posted on her Instagram Stories praising her husband Tua Tagovailoa amid reports of his release from the Miami Dolphins and agreement to a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

The post reportedly read: "So excited to be coming to Atlanta! I am so proud of you and cannot wait to cheer you on!!" according to a Fox News Digital report. Neither team has officially confirmed the transaction as of the latest available information.

Tua Tagovailoa, a 26-year-old left-handed quarterback drafted fifth overall by the Dolphins in 2020 out of Alabama, has spent his entire NFL career to date with Miami.[1][2]

He earned Pro Bowl honors in 2023 after starting all 17 games, completing 70.6% of his passes for 4,214 yards, 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. The Dolphins finished 11-6 that season and qualified for the playoffs.[2][3]

Tagovailoa signed a four-year contract extension with the Dolphins worth $212.4 million on July 26, 2024.[1][3]

The Falcons' quarterback room currently features left-handed rookie Michael Penix Jr., selected eighth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, and veteran Kirk Cousins, who signed a four-year contract in March 2024.[4][5]
