The Las Vegas Raiders are enduring a challenging 2024 NFL season with a 2-7 record after nine weeks, sitting last in the AFC West standings.[1][2]
Defensive end Maxx Crosby has been one of the team's bright spots, registering 4.0 sacks this season while playing all nine games.[3][4]
The 27-year-old Crosby, who will turn 28 on February 22, 2025, earned his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl selection for the 2024 season.[3][5]
In six NFL seasons with the Raiders since being drafted in the fourth round out of Eastern Michigan in 2019, Crosby has accumulated 49.5 sacks over 67 games.[3][4]
| Season | Sacks |
|---|---|
| 2019 | 4.0 |
| 2020 | 7.0 |
| 2021 | 8.0 |
| 2022 | 12.5 |
| 2023 | 14.5 |
| 2024 | 4.0 |
The Raiders have not appeared in the playoffs since the 2021 season, when they won a wild-card game before losing in the divisional round.[5]
Meanwhile, AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens hold a strong 7-2 record, leading the conference under longtime head coach John Harbaugh in his 17th season.[1][2]
NFL free agency is set to begin with legal tampering on March 11, 2025, followed by contracts signing from March 12.[6]
