The United States won the men's para ice hockey gold medal with a 6-2 victory over Canada on March 15, 2026, at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games in Milan, Italy.[1][2]
Jack Wallace scored three goals and added an assist for the U.S. team. Kayden Beasley, Declan Farmer and Brody Roybal also scored.[1][2] Canada's Liam Hickey netted both goals for the runners-up.[1][2]
The win gives the United States its fourth consecutive Paralympic title in the discipline, following golds in Sochi 2014, Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022.[3][4] All three players -- Wallace, Farmer and Roybal -- are members of the U.S. national para ice hockey team.[2][5]
Wallace, competing in his third Paralympic Games, said post-game: "This team is so special. We love each other. This team grinded it out, a gritty game. It was unbelievable. I love these guys so much."[1]
The U.S. advanced to the gold-medal game after matches against Italy, Germany, China and Czechia during the tournament.[1] Canada, a longtime rival, has faced the U.S. in multiple recent Paralympic finals and eight straight world championship finals.[3][4]
Men's para ice hockey events took place in Milan during the Paralympic Winter Games, which ran from March 6 to 15, 2026.[1][3]
