Details of the potential trade were not officially confirmed, though one report indicated the Raiders would have received two first-round picks, including the No. 14 overall selection in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Maxx Crosby, 27, has been a standout edge rusher for the Raiders since being selected in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Eastern Michigan. He recorded 14.5 sacks in 2023 and 12.5 in 2022, marking back-to-back double-digit sack seasons.[1][2]

The Raiders have endured a difficult stretch, last qualifying for the playoffs in 2021 when they finished 10-7 and lost in the wild-card round. They went 8-9 in 2023 and are 2-12 through 14 games in 2024.[3][4]

Crosby's production has been a bright spot for Las Vegas, with 44 sacks over 91 career games entering 2024.[1][2]
