Online reports have circulated claiming the Kansas City Chiefs agreed to a contract with Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III during NFL free agency, describing it as an early major move following a reported 6-11 season for Kansas City.

No official confirmation of such a deal exists from the NFL, Chiefs or Seahawks as of October 2024. Kenneth Walker III remains listed on the Seahawks active roster and is under contract through the 2025 season.[1][2]

Walker, 23, was selected by Seattle in the second round (41st overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft from Michigan State. In 2023, his most recent full season, he rushed for 905 yards and 8 touchdowns in 15 games.[3]

The Chiefs' running back group features Isiah Pacheco, who rushed for 935 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2023, along with Kareem Hunt, who re-signed with the team on September 24, 2024.[4][5]
