Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts expressed disappointment over the low attendance from Rondale Moore's former NFL teammates at a celebration of life service held on Friday. Pitts, who was traded to the Falcons in 2024 and became close with Moore, posted on his Instagram Stories that only about six or seven teammates attended.[1][2]

"Crazy how only about 6 maybe 7 of your teammates in the NFL showed up for you today smfh," Pitts wrote. "All that talk and fake emotion and nobody want to show up to lay you to rest.. Just at a loss of words."[1][2]

Rondale Moore, 25, was found dead in the garage of his home in Indiana on February 21 from a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.[1][3]

Moore was a standout wide receiver at Purdue University before being selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round (49th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played three seasons with the Cardinals from 2021 to 2023.[2][4]

Moore was traded to the Atlanta Falcons in 2024 but suffered a season-ending injury that year. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings in March 2025 and sustained another season-ending injury during preseason.[1][2]

Pitts, the fourth overall pick by the Falcons in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Florida, shared an emotional tribute to Moore on Instagram following news of his death, writing, "This can’t be real dawg... I love you dawg and 4 is going to live on forever."[1][2]

The two teams faced off on December 21, 2025, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.[1]
