Acclaim Entertainment announced on Monday the release later this year of Super Basketball Classics Featuring the World-Famous Harlem Globetrotters, coinciding with the basketball exhibition team's centennial season.[1][2]

The arcade-style game offers pick-up-and-play action on PC and consoles, including half-court shots from the stands and interactive elements to replicate the Globetrotters' showmanship.[1]

Jeff Jarrett, professional wrestler with All Elite Wrestling and founder of the revived Acclaim, described the game as capturing the fun of live Globetrotters shows in an interview with Fox News Digital.[1][3]

"We combined a lot of things but it’s pick up and play... you’re going to have the wow factor," Jarrett said.[1]

The Harlem Globetrotters were founded on January 7, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, and are known for blending basketball skill with entertainment in exhibition games, often against the Washington Generals.[4][5]

The team is marking its 100th anniversary with the 100 Years of Legacy world tour, including performances at Exactech Arena in Gainesville, Florida, on January 12, 2026, and Resch Center in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, on December 30, 2025.[1][4]

The Harlem Globetrotters were inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.[5][6]

Acclaim CEO Alex Josef stated in a news release: "The Harlem Globetrotters are synonymous with basketball and entertainment. This game celebrates that spirit."[1][2]
