Lamar Odom recounts vivid dream of Kobe Bryant delivering afterlife message

Former NBA player Lamar Odom described a dream in which the late Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant participated in a three-point contest hosted by actor Billy Crystal.[1][2]
Odom shared the account on the Fox Sports Radio "Double Coverage" podcast with hosts Chris Broussard and Rob Parker. In the dream, Bryant paused, looked at Odom and said, "Hello, the afterlife is not what people make it up to be," before Odom awoke.[1][2]
Odom interpreted the dream as a reminder to "live your best life now," linking it to Bryant's death and his own near-death experience. He noted it could mean Bryant misses everyone or is still transitioning in the afterlife.[1]
Odom and Bryant were Lakers teammates from the 2004-05 to 2010-11 seasons, winning NBA championships in 2009 and 2010. Odom earned NBA Sixth Man of the Year honors in the 2010-11 season.[3][4]
Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on January 26, 2020.[5]
Odom referenced his October 2015 drug overdose at a brothel near Las Vegas, Nevada, where he suffered 12 strokes and six heart attacks and was placed in a medically induced coma for four days before recovering.[1][6]
Odom played 14 NBA seasons from 1999-2000 to 2013-14, appearing in 898 regular-season games for the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Lakers and Dallas Mavericks.[3][4]
