Paige Spiranac, a 31-year-old American golf instructor, former Epson Tour player and social media personality, has built large online audiences, including more than 4 million followers on Instagram and nearly 1 million on X.[1][2] As her presence has grown, she has faced significant negativity on social media platforms.
On October 10, 2024, Spiranac posted on X about a consistent positive commenter who provides relief from the criticism. "There is this guy who comments ‘great cans’ on everything I post," she wrote. "In a world full of hate and despair I know he will always be there for me to lift my spirits. He’s never missed a post for years."[3][4]
Spiranac, who played college golf at San Diego State University and briefly pursued a professional career, has shifted focus to content creation, instruction and media appearances.[1][2] She has appeared in pro-am events, such as the Kaulig Companies Championship at Firestone Country Club in July 2023.[5]
In February 2024, Spiranac shared on her Instagram Stories that she had been experiencing a prolonged "funk," leading to reduced posting activity due to anxiety and overthinking. "This has been going on for a little bit. I feel like I’ve just been so in my head about everything," she said, adding that she felt misunderstood by her audience.[4][6]
Spiranac expressed hope to overcome the rut, return to more frequent posting and develop a fun-focused golf content series.[1][4]
