Flau'jae Johnson, a senior guard for the LSU Tigers women's basketball team, has remained with the program since committing on November 14, 2021.[1][2] Entering the 2025-26 season as a member of the class of 2026, she has stayed amid widespread player transfers in the NIL era.[1]
Johnson wears jersey number 4 and buried her first pet bearded dragon, also named Four, on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.[3][4] She has another bearded dragon named Champ, which she has brought to team events, including tricking teammate Izzy Besselman with it in a basket.[3][4]
On November 20, 2024, Johnson played against Tulane at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, where LSU defeated the Green Wave 78-56.[5][1] LSU coach Kim Mulkey, who won national titles at Baylor in 2005, 2012 and 2019 and at LSU in 2023, has coached Johnson since her arrival in 2021.[6]
Mulkey signed Johnson as her first McDonald's All-American recruit at LSU and praised her decision to stay four years and graduate.[2][7] Johnson, a recording artist signed to Roc Nation since June 2023, also has an NIL deal with the Unrivaled 3-on-3 league announced December 17, 2024.[2][1]
Johnson is set to play her final games in a Tigers jersey during the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament first round on Friday.[8]
