Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese on Saturday responded to a fabricated quote posted on X that was falsely attributed to her.

The post implied Reese compared her weekly earnings to the weekly income of others who work seven days, in what appeared to be a jab at her intelligence. Reese replied on X: "Here we go again. Rent must be due."^[1][2]

The 22-year-old American from Randallstown, Maryland, was selected by the Chicago Sky with the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.^[3][4]

In her rookie season, Reese earned All-Star selection and set the WNBA single-season rebounding record with 446 rebounds.^[5][6]

Over 34 regular-season games in 2024, she averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 46.8% from the field.^[5][6]
